:: ANNUAL FUNCTION "GUNJAN - 7" ::

Greenfields Public School, Dilshad Garden organized ‘Gunjan – 7’, the annual day of Middle Deptt. to mark the Golden Jubilee Year Celebrations in its premises on 19th Dec. 2015. Mr. Gopal Rai, Transport & Rural Development Minister was the Chief Guest of the day.  Mr. Rajendra Pal Gautam, MLA Seemapuri, Mr. Mohd. Ali, Additional DCP and Ms. Usha Kumari, Regional Director East (Deptt. of Education) were the Guests of Honour. Mr. D.P. Jain, Chairman of Greenfields Public School presided over the function.

The programme commenced with the lighting of lamp by Dr. (Ms) Manik Barsaley, Founder Principal, Dr. S.K. Sharma, Principal, Mr. Vibhu Shrotria and Ms. Pooja Barsaley (Vice Principal), Ms. Purnima Upadhyay (Head Mistress) and Incharges present on the occasion. The guests were felicitated with bouquets, planters and mementos.

 

A Saga of Golden Era (Greenfields Ki Kahani) showcased 50 glorious years of Greenfields. It was nostalgic reminiscing the golden moments and looking back at the memorable journey of the school. Sufism- a mystic tradition that consists of varied range of ideas that emphasize on the attainment of divine life and compassion was presented through Qawwali- the devotional form of music known for its worldly appeal transcending  all bounds of limitation of countries and different region. Children with disabilities in India are subject to multiple deprivations and limited opportunities in several dimensions of their lives. ‘Prayas’ was an attempt to make a difference for children who are differently abled and special. Environment- the God created domiciliary is facing a threat from the reckless and the caustic human nature. Nature- Save Environment was an initiative to realize the importance of healthy environment. Save Ganga Movement- a widespread Gandhian non-violent movement was supported in Ganga- Hamari Dharohar to protect the largest and the most sacred river of India with enormous spiritual, cultural and physical influence. Fashion Show: Mera Bharat Meri Jaan- invoked a feeling of patriotism presenting India as a land of varied culture and traditions. The students showcased their dramatic talent in the English Skit ` Les Mise’rables’ which was appreciated by one and all. Dances are a form of coherent expression of human beings and have become an integral part of our social milieu which was well depicted in Jhankar- riveting dance performances which added color to the event. A flavor of international dances was also added in Razzmatazz wherein the students danced with great poise and rhythm.

The event was a plethora of skills. The attires and performances mesmerized the audience.

 Hon’ble Mr. Gopal Rai praised the efforts of the students and the teachers who motivated them to showcase their talent and wished luck to the students and the school in their future endeavors. Ms. Usha Kumari appreciated the immense talent of the children and excellently choreographed programs. She also congratulated the Founder Principal , Principal and teachers for putting up a spectacular show. Mr. Rajendra Pal Gautam and Mr. Mohd. Ali also lauded the efforts of the children and congratulated the school for boosting the talent of the children.

:: ANNUAL FUNCTION "ABHYUTHAN" ::

Greenfields Public School, Dilshad Garden, Delhi organized their Annual Function and Prize Giving Ceremony on 5th December, 2015 in the School Premises. A Ballet ABHYUTHAN –THE PROGRESSION was staged by the students of class x. The programme commenced by the Lighting of Lamp by the Chief Guest-Mr. Ram Niwas Goel, hon’ble Speaker of Delhi Legislative Assembly, Guests of Honour Mr Rajender Pal Gautam- MLA Seemapuriand Mr. M.L Ambhore-Deputy Director of Education, Zone VI, Special Guest Mr. M.L Kaushik-Deputy Director of Education N E Distt. along with Director Principal- Dr. (Mrs.) Manik Barsaley, Principal- Dr. S.K Sharma, Vice Principals- Mr. Vibhu Shrotria and Mrs. P.V Barsaley and the In charges.

 

Dr.(Mrs.) Manik Barsaley accorded the guests a warm welcome and presented them with Planters to express our concern for environment. Dr S.K Sharma presented Mementos to the revered Guests and the Vice Principals and Incharges honoured them by presenting shawls.

 

Followed by the welcome of the Guests was the PRIZE GIVING CEREMONY wherein all the meritorious Teachers and students were given Certificates and Mementos. All the Awardees walked on the stage with immense pride and pleasure.  It was indeed a momentous occasion for the achievers in the field of sports as they were also encouraged by awarding them Track Suits. The blessings by Mr. Ram Niwas Goel and Mr M.L Ambhore and their words of motivation added to their zeal and happiness!

The Ballet- ABHYUTHAN commenced on a very zealous note! It was prepared on the theme of Progression of India from the British period to where it is now. It showcased the exploitation of Indians at the hands of Britishers and extreme oppression. The students presented classical, contemporary and warrior dance in the ballet with great expression of anger, fear and valour. The scene depicting Queen of Jhansi fighting the English with valour left the audience mesmerized and applauding. Bhagat Singh, Raj Guru and

 

Sukh Dev’s hanging and the reverberating music of Vande Matram created an aura of patriotism. Towards the end the progression of the school was depicted and Sh R.R Joshi-our Bauji was fondly remembered. The Grand Finale rose the audience to their feet in excitement and there was unabated applause as as the students moved on the tune of Jai jai…

Mr Goel and Mr Gautam in their address congratulated the school management for encouraging the students in the field of extracurricular activities and sports and for putting up a grand show.

Finally, the vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs P.V Barsaley- Vice Principal followed by the National Anthem.

 

:: MEGA DIWALI FETE ::

To mark the Golden Jubilee Year Celebrations, Greenfields Public School, Dilshad Garden organised Mega Diwali Fete of Middle Deptt. on 1st Nov. 2015 in the school premises.

 

Mr. Rajender Pal Gautam, M.L.A., Seemapuri, Mrs. Swati Gupta, East Delhi Municipal Councillor and Mr. Manjeet Singh Tomar, S.H.O., Seemapuri were the Guests for the event.

 

The fete was declared open with the ribbon cutting ceremony followed by the lighting of the lamp by Dr. (Mrs.) Manik Barsaley, Director Principal cum Manager and Dr. S.K. Sharma, Offg. Principal.  The guests were felicitated with bouquets and mementos.

 

It was a day of revelry.  Students and parents enjoyed themselves at the various food and game stalls.  The notable stalls included aim & shoot, ring the object, find the treasure and feed the clown.  Children of all ages had something to amuse them.  The event saw the participation of all. 

 

Along  with  the food stalls, fun activities  such  as  camel  riding  and Boogie Woogie - DJ kept the children entertained.  Apart from food and game stalls, the fete also had various banks and business stalls which made the fete not only enjoyable but also informative.

 

The sarees, kurtis, house linen, jewellery and book stalls drew large crowds and a healthy spirit of competition prevailed among the organisers.  The rides, games, food arena, dancing and live entertainment were all extremely successful and was applauded by all.

 

It was a wonderful day filled with laughter, gaiety and fun filled activities.

Enclave Dilshad Garden, Delhi celebrated its Annual Day ‘Junoon The Passion’ and Prize Giving Function on Saturday , 22nd November 2014 the programme commenced with the lighting of lamp by Honourable Chief  Guest Mr. Harsh Deep Malhotra, Chairman, Standing Committee(education) EDMC, Ms. Swati Gupta, Municipal Counsellor ,EDMC Dilshad Garden Delhi. Distinguished guests Mr. Anupam Bhatnagar, Director, Vidya Vihar School, Naveen Shahdara, Mr. V. Kumar, Administration Officer Greenfields Public School, Dilshad Garden  Mr. Vipul Barsaley, Manager Greenfields Public School, Rameshwar Park Loni, Romita Sharma, Principal Greenfields Public School, Vivek Vihar, Delhi.

“JUNOON- The Passion” ballet was an amalgamation of cultural items – dance, drama, music, martial arts and a display of traditional and devotional aspects of indian life depicting the self motivation and determination of Eklavya and Chanakya, the great legendary heores. The highlights of merciless killing of innocent people at Jallianwala Bagh was also effectively dramatized. The ‘Five Elements’ depicted the varied beauty of mother earth and the five elements. And finally the siginificance of satyamav jayate.

The programme was presented by the students with grace, poise, rhythem and perfect synchronization. It had all the flavours and colours of their talent, skill and expertise.

The students who excelled in academics and sports were felicitated by the chief guest and worthy Principal, Dr. Mrs. Manik Barsaley and Dr. S.K. Sharma, Vice principal. The teachers achieving 100% result in 12th board examination were also honoured by the chief guest.

The programme concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. P.V. Barsaley, Incharge. She extended her thanks to the honourable chief guest and esteemed guests of Honour for sparing their valuable time and motivating the students by their benign presence. Futher she thanked the parents, students and staff members for their untiring co-operation in making this event a memorable one. The programme ended with the national anthem.

Chairman, EDMC, Shahdra North Zone and Mr. Kumar Vishu were the Guests of Honour. 

The programme commenced with the lighting of lamp by Dr. (Ms.) Manik Barsaley, Director Principal/Manager, Dr. S.K. Sharma, Offg. Principal, Mrs. Purnima Upadhyay, Head Mistress and Incharges present on the occasion.  The guests were felicitated with bouquets and mementos.

Indian folk and tribal dances are simple and are performed to express joy which adds to the richness of Indian Culture.  Keeping this aspect in mind ‘Dances of India’ performed by the students  with dramatic expression combined with rhythmic intricacy left the audience spell bound.  The expression ‘Use it or lose it’ found its meaning in the sports presentation ‘Chak De India’ performed by the students to bring out the true sportsman spirit.  The students showcased their dramatic talent in the English Skit ‘Christmas Carol’ which was appreciated by one and all.  Dances are a form of coherent expression of human beings and have become an integral part of our social milieu which was well depicted in the ‘Cultural Melange’-  riveting dance performances by the students which added colour to the event.  A dance and drama titled  ‘Khub Ladi Mardaani – Rani Laxmi Bai’ highlighting the great warrior’s life and her devotion to the country mesmerized the audience. Jashn –e- Azadi dedicated to all the brave leaders and fighters found the audience celebrating and rejoicing in the spirit  of independence.  The students presented a ‘Nukkad Natak’ to highlight the key message  of cleanliness and inspiring the people from all walks of life in taking part in the cleanliness and sanitation drive.   A flavour of International Dances was also added wherein the students danced with great poise and rhythm.  A musical tribute was paid to the great legend Kishore Kumar which created magic on the stage.

In the last session of the event the proud Greenarians walked the stage and presented a vibrant glimpse of the headgears of different countries (U.S.A., Mexico, U.K., France, Russia & India) during a fashion parade followed by the Grand Finale.

BASANT KHEL UTSAV - SPORTS DAY

Mega event "Basant Khel Utsav" - the Sports Day of Greenfields Public School, Dilshad Garden was celebrated with gaiety on 08th Feburary 2014 in the school premises.

Mr. O.P. Singh, Education Officer, East Delhi Zone and Mr. Joginder Singh Saluja, Proprietor Workout Wonders were the Guests who graced the occasion with their benign presence.

Ramesh, the captain of Greenfields Public School's Volley Ball team, a national player along with other proud Greenarians led the bearing of the torch to light the flame in the presence of Dr. (Mrs.) M. Barsaley, Principal-Cum-Manager, Dr. SK. Sharma, Vivce Principal, Head Mistress and Incharges. The Sports Day was declared open with the release of balloons.

As many as 450 students joined together in the carnival, a beautiful procession of the students in different colourful costumes, a lively presentation bringing many cartoon characters to life. How important is physical exercise to keep ourselves fit in day-to-day life was taught through Yoga. Learning to perform, developing, maintaining and perfecting skills are the basic objectives of beneficial practice. In the pursuit of this objective, students performed various drills such as Pom-Pom drill, Hoops drill, Ball drill and Umbrella drill. Mass P.T. Display by the students left the audience spell-bound. The expression "use it or lose it" found its meaning in aerobics performed by the students as they taught us that our bodies are meant to move-they actually crave for exercise. Karate, an art practiced for self-defence & self discipline was performed by young Greenarians in true spirit. 100 mts. Flat Race and Relay Race were also included in the event to bring out the true sportsman spirit. The winners were acknowledge. Rajasthani Folk Dance enthralled the audience in the last session of the event. The event was a plethora of skills. The attires and performances mesmerized the audience.

"PANORAMA-10" was an amalgamation of cultural items - dance, drama, music, martial arts and a display of traditional and devotional aspects of life. The programme was presented by the students with grace, poise, rhythm and perfect synchronization. It had all the flavours and colours of their talent, skill and expertise.

 

"G3 (Golden, Grey and Green)" depicted the varied beauty of environment, destroyed by the human activities resulting in the extinction of wild life. "Quami Ekts" was a perfect fusion of unity in diversity that concluded with the message of love, equality, brotherhood and peace by Mahatma Gandhi.

 

"Payal Sangam" the three dance forms - Bharatnatyam, Kathak and Manipuri Pung cholom drum dance mesmerized the audience with its perfect rhythm.

"Jeene Do" was an apt theme of effort to save girl child and to fight against female foeticide. Other items presented were " Goan Carnival", Aazadi ke Deewane, Ganga behti ho kyu, which focused on degradation of human values.

"The Ashoka Ballet" envoked the memories of Kalinga war and transformation of the King Ashoka's personality who adopted Buddhism at the later stage of life.

The presentation like G3, Payal Sangam, Jeene Do, Goan Carnival and the Ballet Ashoka mesmerized the audience.

The school celebrated its Annual Day, "Prastuti - 10" on 15th Dec. 2012. The Programme commenced with lighting of lamp by the Principal Dr. Manik Barsaley. The title "Prastuti - 10" indicates presentation of an amalgamation of items - dance, drama, music, martial arts and a display of traditional and devotional aspect of life. The programme was presented by the students with grace poise, rhythm and perfect synchronization. It had all the flavours and colours of their talent, skill and expertise. "Natraj" depicted the victory of virtue over evil. "Navras" focused on various 'ras' viz, shringar ras, haasya ras, veer ras etc. 'Natkhat Kanha' mesmerised the audience displaying Lord Krishna's various Leelas. 'Dhanya - Dhanya Nari' was an apt theme of women empowerment, 'Woh Din Aayega' focused on the travails of child labour. 'Julius Caeser' was a recollection of William Shakespeare's great tragedies. Other items presented were - 'Swami Vivekanand' , a dance drama based on the life & ideology of Swami Vivekananda, 'Puppet Dance' focused on revival of dying art. 'Heal the World' evoked the memories of Michael Jackson. Eventually the soul of Punjab 'Bhangra' made everyone dance at its tune.

The students who excelled in academics and sport were honoured and blessed at the prize distribution ceremony by the Chief Guest and worthy Principal Dr. (Ms.) Manik Barsaley. The teachers were felicitated for achieving 100% result in Board Examination.

Greenfields Public School, Dilshad Garden, celebrated its Annual Day, "Pratibha 10" on 24th Dec. 2011 at 6.00 p.m. The Programme commenced with the lighting of lamp by Honourable Chief Guest Shri Ajay Choudhary, I.P.S., Additional Commissioner , Delhi Police and Guests of Honour Shri Sanjeev Pandey , IRS, Jt. Secretary, Deptt. of Art Culture & Languages, Govt. of N.C.T. of Delhi, Shri Veer Singh Dhingan, M.L.A., Seemapuri, Shri Ajit Singh Chaudhary, Municipal Councillor, M.C.D., Shri Ravindra Yadav, Chairman Vedanta College of Engineering, Mr. Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Director, Bharat Scout & Guides (N.H.Q.), Mrs. Geeta Rawat, Joint Director, Bharat Scouts and Guides N.H.Q, Dr. (Ms) S.Sen, Educational Officer and Shri D.P. It had all the flavours and colours of student' talent, skill and expertise. The programme was an amalgamation of unity in diversity with a tinge of patriotism and a welcome to New Year 2012 with gusto and gaiety with "New Year Bonanza". The children infused the feeling of patriotism and nationalism through "Ae Vatan Tere Liye"  Different items consisted of different national and international dance forms such as the "Bamboo Dance", " Spanish Mania", " Locking Popping". Breath taking items were presented by the students of "Martial Art" and " Yoga". " Taal Manjari" mesmerized the spectators. Eventually, the soul of Punjab, "Punjabi Beats" made everyone dance at its tune.
