Our School celebrated its Annual Function ‘Samavesh’ and Prize Giving
ceremony on 23rd December, 2017. Mr. Bhupender Mavi, Chairman OBC
Commission was the Guest of Honour. The theme ‘Samavesh’ echoed the
philosophy of Vasudeva Kutumbakam and nurtured the students for
Global Citizenship. All the performances were an amalgamation of Indian
as well as foreign cultures. The students of class VIIIth presented all
the dance performances with perfect poise, sync and rhythm. The students
who excelled in academics and sports were felicitated by the guest
and the Founder Principal Dr. Mrs. Manik Barsaley, Principal Dr. S.K
Sharma, Vice Principals Mr Vibhu Shrotria and Mrs. Pooja Vipul Barsaley,
Headmistress Mrs. Purnima Upadhyay and all the Incharges. The teachers
achieving 100% result in the board examination were honoured by Mr.
Bhupender Mavi. The program concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed
by Mrs. Pooja Vipul Barsaley and she appreciated all the efforts of the

Minister was the Chief Guest of the day. Mr. Rajendra Pal Gautam, MLA
Seemapuri, Mr. Mohd. Ali, Additional DCP and Ms. Usha Kumari, Regional
of Education) were the Guests of Honour. Mr. D.P. Jain, Chairman of
Greenfields Public School presided over the function.
The programme commenced with the lighting of lamp by Dr. (Ms) Manik
Barsaley, Founder Principal, Dr. S.K. Sharma, Principal, Mr. Vibhu
Shrotria and Ms. Pooja Barsaley (Vice Principal), Ms. Purnima Upadhyay
(Head Mistress) and Incharges present on the occasion. The guests were
felicitated with bouquets, planters and mementos.
A Saga of Golden Era (Greenfields Ki Kahani) showcased 50 glorious
years of Greenfields. It was nostalgic reminiscing the golden moments
looking back at the memorable journey of the school. Sufism- a mystic
tradition that consists of varied range of ideas that emphasize on the
attainment of divine life and compassion was presented through Qawwali-
the devotional form of music known for its worldly
transcending all bounds of limitation of countries and different
region. Children with disabilities in India are subject to multiple
deprivations and limited opportunities in several dimensions of their
lives. ‘Prayas’ was an attempt to make a difference for children who are
differently abled and special. Environment- the God created domiciliary
is facing a threat from the reckless and the caustic human nature.
Nature- Save Environment was an initiative to realize the importance of
Save Ganga Movement- a widespread Gandhian non-violent movement was
supported in Ganga- Hamari Dharohar to protect the largest and the most
sacred river of India with enormous spiritual, cultural and physical

Jaan- invoked a feeling of patriotism presenting India as a land of
varied culture and traditions. The students showcased their dramatic
talent in the English Skit ` Les Mise’rables’ which was appreciated by
one and all. Dances are a form of coherent expression of human beings
and have become an integral part of our social milieu which was well
depicted in Jhankar- riveting dance performances which added color to
the event. A flavor of international dances was also added in Razzmatazz
wherein the students danced with great poise and rhythm.
The event was a plethora of skills. The attires and performances
mesmerized the audience.
Hon’ble Mr. Gopal Rai praised the efforts of the students and the
teachers who motivated them to showcase their talent and wished luck to
the students and the school in their future endeavors. Ms. Usha Kumari
appreciated the immense talent of the children and excellently
choreographed programs. She also congratulated the Founder Principal ,
Principal and teachers for putting up a spectacular show. Mr. Rajendra
Pal Gautam and Mr. Mohd. Ali also lauded the efforts of the children and
congratulated the school for boosting the talent of the children.

Greenfields Public School, Dilshad Garden, Delhi organized their

The programme commenced by the Lighting of Lamp by

Dr.(Mrs.) Manik Barsaley accorded the guests a warm welcome and
presented them with Planters to express our concern for environment. Dr S.K Sharma presented Mementos to the revered Guests and the Vice
Principals and Incharges honoured them by presenting shawls.
Followed by the welcome of the Guests was the PRIZE GIVING CEREMONY
wherein all the meritorious Teachers and students were given
Certificates and Mementos. All the Awardees walked on the stage with
immense pride and pleasure. It was indeed a momentous occasion for the
achievers in the field of sports as they were also encouraged by
awarding them Track Suits. The blessings by Mr. Ram Niwas Goel and Mr

The Ballet- ABHYUTHAN commenced on a very zealous note! It was
prepared on the theme of Progression of India from the British period to
where it is now. It showcased the exploitation of Indians at the hands
of Britishers and extreme oppression. The students presented classical,
contemporary and warrior dance in the ballet with great expression of
anger, fear and valour. The scene depicting Queen of Jhansi fighting the
English with valour left the audience mesmerized and applauding. Bhagat
Singh, Raj Guru and
Sukh Dev’s hanging and the reverberating music of
Vande Matram created an aura of patriotism. Towards the end the
progression of the school was depicted and Sh R.R Joshi-our Bauji was
fondly remembered. The Grand Finale rose the audience to their feet in
excitement and there was unabated applause as as the students moved on
the tune of Jai jai…
Mr Goel and Mr Gautam in their address congratulated the school
management for encouraging the students in the field of extracurricular
activities and sports and for putting up a grand show.

spirit. 100 mts. Flat Race and Relay Race were also included in the event to

environment, destroyed by the human activities resulting in the
extinction of wild life. "Quami Ekts" was a perfect fusion of unity in
diversity that concluded with the message of love, equality, brotherhood
and peace by Mahatma Gandhi.
"Payal Sangam" the three dance forms -
Bharatnatyam, Kathak and Manipuri Pung cholom drum dance mesmerized the
audience with its perfect rhythm.
"Jeene Do" was an apt theme of effort to
save girl child and to fight against female foeticide. Other items
presented were " Goan Carnival", Aazadi ke Deewane, Ganga behti ho kyu,
which focused on degradation of human values.
"The Ashoka Ballet" envoked the memories of
Kalinga war and transformation of the King Ashoka's personality who
adopted Buddhism at the later stage of life.
