Guru Purnima was celebrated by the students of GPS on the virtual platform wherein an array of activities were presented in the benign presence of our revered Founder Principal cum Manager- Dr. (Ms.) Manik Barsaley, Principal- Dr. S.K Sharma, Vice Principal, Incharges and teachers . The aim of the celebrations held on 5th July 2020 was to inculcate the attribute of reverence amongst the students for their teachers, parents and all elders. An initiative of Hindi/ Sanskrit Department, the programme dedicated to the Gurus, commenced with the Mantra recital from the holy Rigved followed by Shlokas in eulogy of the Gurus, Role Plays, Kavi Sammelan and vibrant dances. The students from the middle department recited self-composed poems and Dohas. They were shown videos and PPT’s underscoring the pious teacher taught relationship. The principal and Founder Principal lauded the efforts of both students and the participants for having put up a brilliant show and urged the students to revere their parents and teachers and always hold them in high esteem.
Greenfields Public School, Dilshad Garden celebrated Van Mahotsav week from 29th July 2019 to 5th August 2019 with an array of beautiful activities for classes (VIII-XII) such as Poster Designing, Slogan Writing, Poetry Recitation, Street Play Presentation on the Theme-Beat Plastic Pollution. Valedictory Function was organised on 5th August, Monday which was attended by our honourable Founder Principal Dr (Mrs) M Barsaley, Respected Principal Dr S. K. Sharma ,Vice-Principal Mr. Vibhu Shrotria and worthy Incharges Mr. M. P. Arora, Mrs. P Sobti and Mrs. A. Srivastav. The event started with the welcome of our Chief Guest IAS Shri Kuldeep Pakad( D.M. Shahdara and chairman of Jal Shakti Abhiyan,) accompanied by Shri Agrim Kaushal(Economic Advisor, Govt. of India), Shri Debasis Biswal(SDM Shahdara), Shri Virender Singh( Deputy Director, Education zone), HOS Shri D.K. Meenaji and Mr. Vivek Aggarwal (A.D.M.). Ahead of this ,the celebration began with a flag off by our Chief Guest for the Rally of class IX. Students encouraged the locals about the theme, enthusiastically followed by tree plantation by the dignitaries and all distinguished guests in the school premises.The series of presentations included melodious songs on Swachhta by class(VIII-IX) , Poetry Recitation by class X , Street Play by class( IX-X) and a magnificent dance performance on Nature by class VIII. Van mahotsav celebration was an ideal opportunity to instil the value of social responsibility among the students towards safeguarding nature. and share with those who are deprived.
