Dr. (Mrs.) Manik Barsaley, Director Principal-cum-Manager, Greenfields Public School, Dilshad Garden is a veteran who stands dedicated and committed to the promotion of child centered education. During her illustrious career over the decades, she has spearheaded the campaign for ensuring burden free education and joyful leaning for children.

 

She believes that each child is unique and the education system should facilitate and address the uniqueness and individuality of each child . According to her, Art, Dance, Music, Games, Sports etc form an integrated personality. Having practiced multi intelligence approach to the learning process, she seeks to ensure that the class room transaction is oriented towards meeting individual needs and in ensuing total quality management in education.

 

As a very humane person she yearns to impart distinctive style of education, blending oriental and the occidental and through these tries to forge qualities of courage, character and leadership among children.

 

She earnestly believes that an institution must produce students of great caliber who can face the challenges of a dynamic society and inspire students to be upright, righteous and sensitive.

Awarded DEGREE OF PHILOSOPHY by the Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, U.P. in the year 1997 on the Title: Study of Principals’ Administrative styles, Teachers’ Motivation to work and organizational climate of the school in relation to academic performance of the students.

Recipient of Delhi Government’s STATE AWARD for Best Teachers in the year 1989-90, presented by Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Delhi.

Elected Member of the Governing Body of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi for a period of three years w.e.f. 22nd Sept. 1992.

Appointed District Commissioner (Guides) of East Delhi District on 1.1.1983 by the then, State Chief Commissioner, Delhi.
3.
Awarded `SPECIAL CERTIFICATE OF MERIT’ by the Lt. Governor of Delhi for her commendable services rendered in relief camps in November 1984, due to riots, organized by the Delhi State Bharat Scouts & Guides.
4.
Controlled and Financed relief Camp from 8.11.1984 to 13.11.1984 organised by the Delhi State Bharat Scouts & Guides at Gandhi Memorial Senior Secondary School, G.T. Road, Shahdara, Delhi.
5.
Received MEDAL OF MERIT CERTIFICATE on 13.5.1991 by Lt. Governor of Delhi and on 20.4.1992 for commendable services, dedication and devotion in Scouts & Guides Movement. This is the highest award of State Level.
