Janmashtami

On 18th August 2022 our school celebratedJanmashtami. Our little learners dressed up as Radha and Krishna.The cute little one added a traditional touch to the entire celebrations when they danced to the Janmashtami songs, thus filling the air with joy and festive spirit.

GURU! Leading from ephemeral to eternal!!

Guru Purnima was celebrated by the students of GPS on the virtual platform wherein an array of activities were presented in the benign presence of our revered Founder Principal cum Manager- Dr. (Ms.) Manik Barsaley, Principal- Dr. S.K Sharma, Vice Principal, Incharges and teachers . The aim of the celebrations held on 5th July 2020 was to inculcate the attribute of reverence amongst the students for their teachers, parents and all elders. An initiative of Hindi/ Sanskrit Department, the programme dedicated to the Gurus, commenced with the Mantra recital from the holy Rigved followed by Shlokas in eulogy of the Gurus, Role Plays, Kavi Sammelan and vibrant dances. The students from the middle department recited self-composed poems and Dohas. They were shown videos and PPT’s underscoring the pious teacher taught relationship. The principal and Founder Principal lauded the efforts of both students and the participants for having put up a brilliant show and urged the students to revere their parents and teachers and always hold them in high esteem.

Van Mahotsav Celebrations

Greenfields Public School Primary Department celebrated Van Mahotsav on 5th August, 2020. To establish healthy relationship with the Nature, children were involved in various activities like

Class 1:" Speaking 3 to 4 lines on favourite plant"
Class 2: "Poem recitation on trees"
Class 3: "Slogan writing".
Class 4: "Declamation competition

Declamation competition was organized on the topic "Trees are our green gold ". Siddhi Tomar, Devasha Kalra and Anshuman bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize respectively. Aishwarya Jha and Nilesh Bhushan got appreciation prize. Founder Principal- Dr Manik Barsaley, Principal- Dr. S.K Sharma and the Judge for the event Dr. Manoj Nimesh encouraged the children with their words of wisdom.

While the little ones indulged in plethora of activities, the senior students too celebrated the green festival in order to green the minds of Greenarians. In an enthralling programme everyone took a pledge to conserve nature followed by the poetry recitation, display of placards along which the slogans were raised. A street play ‘Van aur Jeevan’ left behind a beautiful message on the importance of trees. Students shared their videos which they had very meticulously prepared on the herbs and plants-‘Immunity boosters’. The celebrations came to a close with the address of the Principal- Dr. S.K Sharma and Blessings of Founder Principal cum Manager- Dr. M Barsaley.

Christmas Celebrations 2020

Christmas Day was celebrated with great zeal and fervor by the Middle and Secondary Department on 28th and 29th December 2020 via online platform. To mark the celebration, the Students of class VI and VII sang Christmas carols and grooved to the foot tapping numbers. The young, vibrant and adoring greenarians dressed in myriad colours attire like cute little elves in red, green,white with bells, candles and trees grasped the attention of the audience. A musical skit highlighting the birth of Jesus Christ was also presented by students of class VIII, IX and X. Children enchanted the audience with their captivating props, innovation, artistry and thrilling dance performance on energetic lyrics and instrumental beats. It was indeed a day full of learning, vibrant colours and new experiences for everyone.

Swachh Bharat Pakhwada

GREENFIELDS PUBLIC SCHOOL, DILSHAD GARDEN observed Swachh Bharat –Swachhata Pakhwada from 1st to 15th September,2021 in a punctilious progression, to generate awareness among the learners of grades 1 to 12 pertaining to Cleanliness and the ongoing cleanliness drive “Swachh Bharat”.

The Swachhta Drive was initiated with a Mass pledge taken up during virtual classes by the teachers and Learners of all Grades. Swachhata/COVID Awareness was generated among the learners with the help of presentations presented by the facilitators. Virtual Meetings were organized to sensitize the learners about the Importance of Cleanliness & Sanitization, Proper Hand-Wash in daily life, Use of Mask & Social Distancing, Personal Hygiene etc.

Innovative Slogans, Posters and Pamphlets on themes such as Fighting Corona through COVID Appropriate Behavior and Vaccination, Water Conservation, Eliminating Single Use Plastic etc. were designed by the learners of all grades. The motive was not only to invoke awareness but to make the learners understand the paramount significance of cleanliness for a healthy and disease free lifestyle.

Fostering the environment for a healthy future was also a part of the mission. Learners were guided to plant more and more trees to safeguard Nature, the nurturer of life. The mentors gave enlightening suggestions in regard to segregation of waste and regulation of non-degradable materials.

A plethora of competitions like Painting, Skit, Poetry writing, Essay Writing, Debate, Quiz etc. were conducted. Later, Bal Sansad /Student Council was convened virtually to discuss the highlights of Swachhta Mission.

To a great extent, Swachhta Pakhwada was celebrated in a befitting manner.
