On 14th November, the school celebrated Children's Day to commemorate the birth of PanditJawaharLal Nehru. The School set up swings, organised a puppet show to make sure the young learners had an incredible time. In the end, the day was a huge success and everyone had smiles on their faces.
75th Independence Day was celebrated on 10th August 2022 in our school.On this occasion an activity was organised for our young learners where they made national flag by pasting stripes in worksheet and to make them aware about the importance of Independence Day.
Greenfields Public School organized a Mass PT display in a special assembly and a rally to mark the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign on 12th August 2022 at 8.30 a.m in collaboration with CRPF, Battalion 236 to celebrate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav on the occasion of 75th Independence Day. The assembly commenced with the welcome of our Guest- Asstt. Commandant, Santosh Kumar who was accorded a floral welcome by Ms. Prerna Barsaley- Vice Principal.which was followed by a vigorous display of Mass PT along with the soldiers of CRPF. All of them holding the national flag aloft created an aura of patriotism in the premises. Asstt. Commandant in his address encouraged the learners to respect the national flag and always remain allegiant to the nation. Ms Prerna Barsaley urged the learners to always remain high spirited and vigorous and take pride in being an Indian. The enthusiastic learners and the soldiers embarked on a rally raising slogans 'Tiranga hamara Maan, Tiranga Hamari shaan' showcasing their love and reverence for the nation. The Mass PT and the Rally was a display of zeal and zest by the Greenarians, the teachers and the soldiers. Dr. Vipul Barsaley- Manager, Greenfields Public School lauded and appreciated the participants for their commendable efforts. Adv. Mithun Barsaley- Chairman, GPS extended his warm wishes on 75th Independence Day to all the learners and teachers.
The 7th International Yoga Day was celebrated on June 21, 2021 by the learners of grade V
to XII with dynamic Diligence and Exhilaration via Virtual Platform, on the theme, ‘Shamya'
The day was observed as 'Shamya' by the teachers, learners as well as the parents who
were excited and participated energetically. The guided session helped the learners and the
parents in performing asanas, which focused on helping them to keep their body, mind and
soul in control.
The learners of grade VIII to XII observed the day with dynamic diligence and exhilaration
via Virtual platform. The event was attended by Hon’ble Manager - Dr. Vipul Barsaley,
respected Director Sir- Dr. S.K.Sharma, Worthy Vice Principals Mr. Vibhu Shrotria and Mrs.
Prerna Barsaley, Incharges and teachers. The yoga session was triggered with the
presentations of various Yoga Asanas performed by the learners of grade VIII to XII with
utmost perfection and confidence, that included the description of peculiar facts, benefits and
relevance of each Asana, as well.
The program concluded with the National Anthem.
Greenfields Public School Dilshad Garden celebrated its 56th foundation day on 16th April 2021 via Zoom. The Superannuated Teachers of the School Ms. P.Jain, Ms.T. Robertson and Ms. R. Jain along with School alumni, Mr. Mithun Barsaley, Manager GPS Yamuna Vihar, Mr Mohit Saxena,Software engineer New York, Ms.Ritu Pahuja Pharmacovigilance Manager, Dubai. Ms. Payal Singh, Head AGS Movers and Mr. Bhuwan from Canada graced the occasion. The alumni and the superannuated teachers were accorded a warm welcome by the Founder Principal cum Manager- Dr (Ms.) Manik Barsaley. It was a nostalgic moment for all to recall their memories of their association with Greenfields Public School.
The cultural programme commenced with a tribute to Goddess Durga by Pari of class X-E. Students of class XII presented a melodious and vibrant self composed song on foundation day. A video on ‘My School was presented by Twinkle of X-F highlighting the feats of the school. The dance presented Uday Singh of class X-F and Ananya Bhaskar of class IX- F on the enthralling and upbeat music was enjoyed by one and all. The alumni, teachers relived their memories and shared their inspirational experiences in school. Director Sir, Dr. S.K.Sharma thanked the Guests and appreciated the efforts made by the students and teachers of the house.
Greenfields Public school organised 28th Prarthana Sabha on 22nd December 2020. Principal Dr. S. K Sharma, Vice Principal- Mr. Vibhu Shrotria and In charges offered floral tribute to beloved Bauji, Late Shri R. R Joshi, Founder- Greenfields Public School Society and chain of schools. This was followed by a prayer meet by music department in the school.
In the evening Bhajan Sandhya was organised on virtual platform. Chief Guest- Shri Kumar Vishu, the great music maestro and Guest Of Honour Shri Bhanu Narayan solemned the audience with their melodious bhajans. Founder Principal- Dr. Manik Barsaley and Principal Dr. S.K Sharma graced the occasion with their benign presence.

Hindi Diwas program was organized on virtual platform (zoom) by the Primary Department of Green Fields Public School, Dilshad Garden on 18 September 20 to commemorate Hindi Day. In which Founder Principal Dr. Manik Barsley, Principal Dr. S. A colorful program was presented in the presence of K. Sharma, Chief Teacher Mrs. Purnima Upadhyay and in-charge. In which "Kavyanjali" nine class-full poems and dances by the students of class II, "Ad a vikraikala" by the students of class III, questionnaires such as questionnaires were presented as "lovely gossip" by the students of class IV. In this series of Hindi Day celebrations, a wonderful program was organized on the virtual platform (zoom) on 18.9.2020 by Higher Secondary Department of Greenfields Public School, Dilshad Garden. In which the Managing Director, Dr. Smriti Manik Bursal, the Honorable Principal Dr.Shriman SK Sharma, Deputy Principal Vibhu Shrotriya, all the in-charge, Chief Teacher Mrs. Purnima Upadhyay and eminent Dohakar as the chief guest, Respected Naresh Shandilya ji as the second guest. Dr. Preeti Srivastava, Assistant Professor of Vivekananda College had a gracious presence. Saraswati Vandana by students of class VIII, 9th and 10th, Hindi story by Hindi - Communication, Kavi Sammelan, Debates from newsroom, Suno story - Kheer of ax, solo acting (role play) and dance by children Presented the program. Naresh Shandilya, the chief guest present at the program, presented his views on the importance of Hindi language and praised the program. The Doha performance by Chief Guest Shandilya ji added to the charm of the program. In the final phase of the program, the Founder Principal and the Principal addressed the gathering as their blessings and expressed gratitude to both the chief guests present and finally this grand event was concluded after the National Anthem.
On the occasion of Grandparents day i.e. 13th September, 2020 the students of Primary Dept. expressed their gratitude and love towards them. Students were asked to do various activities to make this day special for their grandparents like preparing and serving breakfast to them, having lunch with them, offering prayers for them, playing indoor games with them and listening to bedtime stories from them. The students captured the memories of the special moments with their grandparents and shared them with their teachers.
Our school celebrated National sports day on 29th August 2020 to honour the legendary hockey player Major Dhyanchand Singh and also to spread awareness on the importance of sports and physical fitness in everyone’s life. Our students made it evident that Sports not only play a vital role in improving our physical and mental health but also foster active citizenship and social inclusion. The event was graced by the valuable presence of the School Management. Our students presented various activities including declamation, speech, Physical fitness exercises like Burpies, pull ups, Traditional and emerging push ups, sit ups, dumbbell lifting etc. Children enchanted the audience with the Euphonious song presentation and thrilling dance performance on energetic and motivating lyrics. All the students were praised for their laudable efforts by the school management and the event culminated with the national anthem. It was indeed a day full of learning and new experiences for everyone.
To mark the importance of friends and friendship in life, Greenfields Public School celebrated International Friendship Day on 30th July 2019 via Virtual Platform. The event was graced by the esteemed International Guests, Ms Coroina Sujdea from Romania; Mr Kolapo Emmanuel- Nigeria; Mr Naeem Khan- Pakistan; Mr Ferit Yelis- Turkey, Mr Neelam and Mr Sumon Wajid - Bangladesh and Mrs Rasha Embaby, Mr Nasr Morgan, Mr Ahmed and Mrs Nareeman from Egypt. The celebrations began with the welcoming of the guests on behalf of Founder Principal- Dr. Manik Barsaley, Principal- Dr S.K Sharma and the entire management of the School. Ms Corina introduced the members in the panel who shared their deep affection, love and admiration on being a part of this momentous occasion.
The guests were also given a warm welcome by our young Greenarians who presented a cultural bonanza comprising of a self-composed rap, a western dance, Instrumental Guitar on Shakira’s Waka Waka, Ramayan Bhajan, an English song and a resplendent Rajasthani Folk Dance. Thecultural extravaganza mesmerized every member who was a part of the priceless occasion.

The event culminated with the Address of Dr S.K Sharma- Principal and Founder Principal- Dr M Barsaley. They expressed their gratitude to all the guests for joining the celebration and for making the evening memorable and phenomenon.
Amid COVID-19 pandemic, the students and teachers of Greenfields Public School, Dilshad Garden celebrated International Yoga Day on the digital platform on 21st June 2020 with vigour and enthusiasm under the worthy guidance of Founder Principal Dr. (Ms.) Manik Barsaley. Before the celebrations, Founder Principal- Dr. (Ms.) Manik Barsaley addressed the students, extended her blessings and urged one and all to make Yoga a habit to remain physically fit and improve concentration.Following the theme “Yoga at Home & Yoga with Family” the students indulged in various activities like Slogan Writing, doing Pranayam and different Yoga Aasans with their family. The students were delighted to share their pictures and videos.The online session for teachers, which was joined in by the Principal- Dr. S.K Sharma commenced with warm-up exercises, breathing exercises followed by various Yoga Aasans. The teachers practised laughter yoga as well.While students were encouraged to adopt Yoga as a way of life, the teachers vowed to adopt practices for a happier and healthier lifestyle. It was an enriching experience for one and all.
The World Population Day was observed on 11th June 2020 by the students and teachers of the school to raise awareness about the global population issues. The students vigorously participated in an array of activities including poem recitation, song presentation, a mime act, puppet show, raps, skit and a wide range of other activities. Children gripped the audience with their wit, talent, euphony and the usage of props, costume and makeup which amazed everyone. They were applauded by one and all for their admirable efforts, creativity and conveying the message loud and clear that, ‘Excess of everything is bad. The event culminated with the thought-provoking words and blessings by Hon’ble Founder Principal, Dr. (Mrs) Manik Barsaley and Hon’ble Principal Dr. S. K. Sharma.
Greenarians celebrated India’s 72nd Republic Day with zeal and patriotic fervour. A tribute was paid to the Indian soldiers by the students of primary department. They enjoyed a virtual tour to India Gate and indulged in multifarious activities like making fruit chaat and pops. The students of the middle department staged folk dances –‘The traditional Tableau’ and a Fashion show which imbued the audience in patriotism. The Instrumental symphony of Patriotic songs and the Haasya Kavi Sammellan ‘Rahat- e - Hindustan’ enthralled one and all.
The students of secondary and senior secondary department commenced the celebrations with the keynote address followed by the extravaganza of cultural activities. A presentation on ‘my nation my pride’, a lyrical poetic rendition by a student of class IX were followed by a video presentation ‘Achievements of India’, Dances with a lot of verve and enthusiasm on patriotic songs. The participants attired in tricolour dresses added to the festive mood. The Founder Principal cum Manager- Dr. (Mrs.) Manik Barsaley and Principal- Dr S.K Sharma lauded the efforts of the students and urged them to always take pride in being an Indian and keep the tricolour aloft.
On the road map of understanding culture, history, language and transcending boundaries..... 8th grade learners of GPS, DG observed The National Day of France- ' The Bastille Day ' and participated enthusiastically in a plethora of activities i e. dances, songs, poster making and narration.
Teachers Day was celebrated virtually on 5th September, 2020. The program kick started with a welcome address followed by the introduction of the Jupiter House members, welcome and interaction with alumni. The scintillating programme comprised of Mangalacharan by Akshit and Anmol, a peek into the life of Dr. Radha Krishnan through a speech by Ayushi Shakya of class XIC2. A tribute was offered to Dr. Radha Krishnan, rap by B.Sai and Bala Krishna and poem by Ganesh and Pari. A solo dance was staged by Namishka, Musical tribute was offered by Shruti, Tiya and Simran. Students performed zealously to express their love, respect, acknowledgement and recognition of the hard work put in by the teachers in shaping their future. A musical tribute by Varun, Arushi, Titiksha, Swetlana was much admired by the teachers and the alumni. Animated video was also presented by students of class XII. On this special occasion the alumni of the school were also invited who shared their success stories and their fond memories of school. Furthermore they extended their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for being invited to the event.
